Alongside her career as a professional soprano, Jessica is a visiting singing teacher at the University of St Andrews and the University of Edinburgh, and at Mary Erskines School (Edinburgh) and St Mary's School (Melrose). She has previously worked with The National Youth Choir of Scotland, The Royal Scottish National Junior Chorus, and St Mary's Music School (Edinburgh), and for the outreach departments of Scottish Opera, Edinburgh International Festival, and The Dunedin Consort, and is the Musical Director of the Dalkeith Singers.  


Jessica is also an examiner for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), with who she examines across the UK and internationally.  


Amongst her freelance work, Jessica is currently undertaking part-time doctoral research into Opera Outreach at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.  She is 2019 recipient of a Carnegie Trust PHD Scholarship.
